Welcome to survey.manchester.ac.uk
Web Infrastructure (Infrastructure Applications) are responsible for the centrally hosted survey service. At the moment this service is based around separate instances of LimeSurvey, typically one instance for each administrative group that has requested one. If your administrative group does not yet exist we can easily create a new instance of LimeSurvey for you, if you don't know yet if it exists we can let you know!
The LimeSurvey Project developed LimeSurvey, previoulsy known as phpSurveyor, as a php based open source survey tool. It has been in development for a large number of years and is is still being constantly improved, this means that there is an active user community available to developers and administrators should any issues arise.

LimeSurvey was chosen as the tool of choice because of its comprehensive range of features, relative ease of use and it's active user community.
When we install LimeSurvey the URL [web address] will look something like: http://survey.manchester.ac.uk/admindept/surveynameID
To request a new survey please email web-support@manchester.ac.uk please let us know:
- what the survey is likely to be about
- which administrative/academic/other division you belong to
- who will need to be able to administer the survey
